Should You Become an Esthetics Instructor?
When you look back on your education, you can probably think of a teacher who believed in you, inspired you, and encouraged you to reach your full potential. Many students remember their friends and instructors more than their actual classwork during their time at beauty school.
If you ever find yourself looking back and missing beauty school, going back to school to become an instructor may be the right choice for you. As an esthetics instructor you may have the opportunity to be a positive influence on students, fine-tune your craft, and inspire the next generation of estheticians.
Esthetics Instructor Scholarship
There is a demand for talented and passionate esthetics instructors. At all three of our Hair Professionals Career College locations, we are looking for the right person to join our instructor team.
We are offering a full scholarship to our esthetics instructor program for a currently-licensed esthetician to come be an instructor at our school. You don’t need a specific number of years of industry experience to learn to be an instructor, some people are ready to teach after only a year.
You will get to go back to school and live the life of an esthetics student again. Then, throughout your training you may have the chance to start doing more and more hands-on instruction and actually teaching esthetics students.
This is a great opportunity because it means training at no cost to you and then a potential job once you’ve finished the program. If you are interested in learning more about this scholarship opportunity, please contact info@hairpros.edu or text 708-430-1755.
How to Become an Esthetics Instructor
To become an esthetics instructor, you will first need an esthetics license. After working in the esthetics industry for a little while, you can choose to go back to school and complete an Esthetics Instructor program. During the program you can work side by side with licensed esthetics instructors and practice teaching classes as a student teacher.
At Hair Pros, we also teach our esthetics instructor students a business training course. Many people want to learn how to teach and train estheticians because they have a goal to open their own spa someday. Our business course is designed to help prepare esthetics instructors for work in a school, salon, spa, or even as a business owner opening their own spa or salon.
After you have completed your training, you will need to sign up for the State Board Exam. After passing the exam you can become licensed to be an esthetics instructor.
Is Becoming an Esthetics Instructor Right For You?
Sometimes, being behind the spa table can get repetitive over time. If you find yourself looking back on school and missing the relationships and learning, it may be time for a change. You can go back to school to further develop your learning and then give back by passing your knowledge on to future students. Teaching and molding the next generation of estheticians is a rewarding career with many opportunities to make lifelong friends and meaningful connections with other people.
